워크래프트가 첫 개봉한 11개국에서 1위를 기록하고 목요일까지 930만 달러를 벌었습니다


특히 독일, 러시아, 프랑스에서 주목할만한 성적을 거뒀습니다.이번 주말 예상치는 2000만 달러대였지만 3000만 달러 이상으로 올라갔습니다.


독일에서는 2016년 개봉영화 중 최고의 첫날 성적으로, 목요일 오픈 1위로 데뷔 (50% 시장 점유율과 함께 매출은 220만 달러)


러시아에서는 목요일 오픈 1위로, 매출 280만 달러 (2016년 개봉영화 중 첫날 성적 2위를 기록, 캡틴 아메리카 시빌워와 

배트맨 VS 슈퍼맨을 이겼지만, 1위인 데드풀은 이기지 못했습니다.)


더해서, 워크래프트는 러시아에서의 역대 첫날 성적은 역대 7위입니다. 비연휴 기간 첫날 성적으로 따지면 역대 5위입니다.


프랑스에서는 수요일 오픈 1위로,  $983,000로 시작해서 목요일까지 2일간 150만 달러를 벌었습니다.


스위스, 덴마크, 오스트리아, 이집트, 헝가리, 인도네시아, 레바논, 태국, 아랍에미리트에서도


첫날 1위로 데뷔했습니다.


워크래프트는 이번 주말에 스웨덴과 노르웨이를 포함해서 9개 국가에서 추가개봉합니다.


워크래프트의 해외 초반성적은 특정한 국가들에서 디즈니의 실사영화 '거울나라의 앨리스'를 이기고 있습니다.


Legendary and Universal Pictures’ Warcraft is off to a game start at the international box office, 

with No. 1 openings in its first 11 markets. The total through Thursday is$9.3M. The adaptation of Blizzard Entertainment’s juggernaut video game franchise is bowing in a total of 20 overseas plays this frame. 

Notably first out of the gate were Germany, Russia and France. The strong start points to a $30M+
bow this weekend, blowing past earlier projections in the $20Ms.

Gearheads were out in force in Germany, which scored the biggest opening day of the year for the market with a 50% share and a No. 1 Thursday of $2.2M.

In Russia, the No. 1 Thursday bow was $2.8M, which marks the second-biggest opening day of 2016, behind Deadpool and ahead of Captain America: Civil War,

Batman V Superman and others. It is the seventh-biggest opening day of all time and the fifth-biggest non-holiday opening day ever.

France booted up Wednesday with $983K for a No. 1 start and a total through Thursday of $1.5M.

Austria, Denmark, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, Lebanon, Switzerland, Thailand and the UAE are the other top spot openers. There are nine further markets to come this weekend including Norway and Sweden.

Meanwhile, the early numbers on Warcraft are beating Disney’s sequel Alice Through The Looking Glass in certain territories.
