So I've been doing what research I can into the honor system to try to figure out as much as I can about it, and I wanted to share these so people can understand the way it all works to help limit misunderstandings and the like. It would be fantastic if Lyte would take a moment to confirm any of this that hasn't been definitively confirmed previously.

Q. Honor is Weighted
This we know for sure, because they told us. From what I've been able to judge and gather, any honor given by someone on your friends list, or by someone you manually queued with, is worth less than honor given by someone not meeting this criteria.

Q. The game will always display the least common ribbon that you have earned.

A. True.

Q. The only 'single honor' ribbon is Honorable Opponent(Red).

A. True.

Q. The Other Ribbons are as follows:
Great Teammate(Green) comes from Friendly/Teamwork - thus making it the most common, by far, of the non-red ribbons.
Great Mentor(Blue) comes from Friendly/Helpful - I believe this to be the next most common after Teammate, for all that you almost never see it.
Great Leader(Yellow) comes from Helpful/Teamwork - This is the most 'valuable' ribbon from a rarity perspective.

A. False, but we aren't revealing the combinations for now because these can change.

Q. Getting Ribbons is not based off of the 'number' of honors you have received. This has, again, been confirmed. There is no static value that you need to reach to get a ribbon.

Q. A ribbon, once awarded, can be lost either over time if you do not get honored or if you are ever 'punished' by the tribunal, even if that punishment only results in a warning.

Q. Given what we know from above, there must be some 'value' that is kept hidden from us that determines getting a ribbon. This value must take into account the weighting of the honor based off who has given them to you.

Q. Ribbons must be awarded based off of a ratio of some sort that is based off of the number of games you have played since the honor system went into effect and the value I mentioned in point 7.

Q. There is(or was) a bug that can cause a ribbon to be 'lost' without actually losing it. Sometimes you may notice yourself getting the same ribbon every time you log in.

A. This was just a display bug. The system periodically checks your account to determine your Honor status, and if you still deserved a badge, it would show you the ceremony again.
