Farming Your Crop

• Before you start, Farmer Yoon will give you a series of quests preparing you to manage your farm.
• Your crop is a phased area unique to you by Sunsong Ranch (unexpected bonus in PvP areas). You start off with four soil patches, but it looks like it can be increased up to 16 as reputation is unlocked.
• Buy seeds from Merchant Greenfield in Halfhill Market, and plant them in your patch of soil (click on the patch) at Sunsong Ranch. Higher reputation levels unlock more seed types.
• When the crop is "growing," it is in danger of requiring maintenance (see next section). Tend to your crop and it should be good to go.
• After a day or so (there's inconsistent growth patterns), you can harvest the crop.
• Harvesting the crop will yield 50 reputation at level 90 (no reputation below), and vegetables as well as a chance of additional seeds.
• For 25 (or free with Best Friend status), Jogu the Drunk will make a prediction as to which crops will yield good harvests tomorrow. However, it seems his predictions are a bit off as the mentioned crops yield nothing special.
• If you want to plant something else, Dented Shovel removes the existing crop, but your initial seeds will be lost.
• You can start tilling at level 86, but you won't gain reputation for crops until level 90.

Planting Your Crop

There are three types of seeds to plant, all sold by Merchant Greenfield:

• Vegetable Seeds used in Cooking cost 15--this should help out with Cooking ingredients too. They can grow all vegetables.
• Blossom Tree Seeds cost 10 and are available at various reputation levels. Planting these seeds allows you, one day later, to harvest an item that plants a tree, lasting for 3 minutes anywhere in the world.
• Profession Seeds require Revered with The Tillers and cost 1. These seeds passively acquire various profession reagents.

Growing Your Crop

• Crops can be in one of 10 negative states that need your assistance to be remedied. 8 are found in freshly-planted crops, while an additional 2 can be encountered between harvesting and tilling.
• Farmer Yoon offers some farming tips, but they're more confusing riddles instead of helpful advice.

Expanding Your Farm

• All players start out with 4 soil squares on their farm. You'll most likely reach 16 soil squares at least.
• Completing the quest chain for the Tillers Union, in which you befriend and gain votes in Halfhill Market, will unlock more squares.
• At Honored, you can clear weeds for Growing the Farm:

  • Growing the Farm I: The Weeds
  • Growing the Farm I: A Little Problem
• At Revered, you can move a cart out of the way.

  • Growing the Farm II: The Broken Wagon
  • Growing the Farm II: Knock on Wood
• At Exalted, you can move a huge boulder out of the way for the last 4 squares: Growing the Farm III: The Mossy Boulder
• There are three items that appear to clear more space on your farm, or at least offer improvements. They can be purchased from Gina Mudclaw and used after completing quest objectives related to fixing your farm.

  • "Jinyu Princess" Irrigation System: Requires weeds cleared from farm.
  • "Thunder King" Pest Repellers: Requires broken wagon fixed.
  • "Earth-Slasher" Master Plow: Requires mossy boulder removed.
• Gaining friendship with TIller NPCs (see below) will improve your farm in various small ways. For example, one NPC will add chickens to your farm.
• Based on dialogue with Best Friends, you may be able to recruit them to work on your farm at some point in the future.

 

 

Overview and Rewards

• 10 Tiller NPCs have Friendship bars, which are similar to reputation but don't have normal Normal/Friendly distinctions. Instead, there are six segments of 8400 friendship each, with the best level obtainable at 42000 friendship. While gaining friendship, you'll also gain some Tillers reputation.
• You can check up on your friendship status at the Tillers Shrine in Sunsong Ranch.
• Friendship levels:

  • Stranger: 0-8400
  • Acquaintance: 8400-16800
  • Buddy: 16800-25200
  • Friend: 25200-33600
  • Good Friend: 33600-42000
  • Best Friend: 42000-42999
• How to gain Friendship:

  • The easiest way is to give each NPC 5 of their favorite food each day. Completing these meal quests will grant 1,800 friendship.
  • A harder way to gain reputation is to give friends specific gifts. These are found in piles of Dark Soil to the north of Halfhill which unfortunately cannot be tracked on the minimap. Each friend will grant 540 friendship per gift. In addition, there's one gift each NPC really wants, and turning that item into the specific NPC will grant 900 friendship instead.
  • Some quests give friendship--either quests that signal you've reached a new friendship level or select dailies.
• As for rewards, you get some cute perks for becoming Best Friends. For example:

  • Best Friends with Old Hillpaw will add chickens to your farm and send you Straw Hat.
  • Ella adds Luna the cat to your farm, and sends Tree Seed Pack with Blossom seeds inside.
  • Fish Fellreed adds 3 pink pigs and mails Special Seed Pack, which has profession seeds inside.
  • Farmer Fung adds Shaggy the Prize Yak and sends Enigma Seed.
  • Gina Mudclaw adds a mailbox and mails Celebration Gift which has fireworks inside.
  • Sho mails a Red Cricket.
  • Chee Chee sends Chee Chee's Goodie Bag which has cloth and leather, and adds sheep to your farm.
  • Haohan Mudclaw sends 3 Songbell Seed.
  • Jogu the Drunk sends Secret Stash with alcohol in the mail and won't charge you anything for crop predictions.
  • Tina Mudclaw sends food and adds furniture to the farm.
  • You'll also complete the following achievements as you befriend more NPCs: Friend on the Farm, Friends on the Farm

또한 평판이 오름에 따라 적절한 보상을 받을 수 있습니다. 가장 평판을 올리기 쉬운 방법은 각각의 NPC 에게 그들이 그날 먹고싶어하는 음식을 가져다 주면 됩니다.(아마도 농사를 통해 직접 만들어서). 다양한 퀘스트를 통하여 평판을 올려보세요~. 또한 보상은 여러분의 농장에 놓을 수 있는 닭이나, 특히 여러 종류의 씨앗 등입니다.

그래도 발음이 명확해서 할만 하네요 ^_^

 

1. 가장 먼저 씨앗을 구해야 하나봐요. '농부 윤'이 퀘스트 주는것 같군요.

 

2. 날씨에 대해서도 영향을 받는군요. (비오거나.. 등)

 

3. 다른 NPC에게 씨앗을 받고 다시 '농부 윤'에게 갑니다.

 

4. 3분 50초 지난후부터 실제로 씨앗을 심기 시작하네요. 먼저 밭을 갈군 후에 씨앗을 심네요.

 

5. 결국 '농부 윤'이 2개의 상추를 심으라고 지시하고, 우리는 밭을 갈군 후 씨앗을 심습니다. 이것이 퀘스트 내용이구요, 그 후에는 잘 자라게 하기 위하여 물을 한번씩 뿌려 줍니다.

 

6. 보통은 자라는데 4일정도 걸리지만, 현재는 뭐 튜토리얼 같은거라서 바로 자란다네요.

 

7. 다 자란 상추를 수확하면 업적이 뜨네요~ㅋ

 

8. 다음 퀘는 어떤 NPC를 기쁘게 하기 위해서 '농부 윤'의 농장 주위 땅에서 뭘 줍는거군요. (영상 제작자도 It doesn't make any sense~하면서 놀라움을 감추지 못하는군요)

 

9. 그 다음 그 NPC에게 그것을 가져다 주면, '스켈리언?' 이란것이 부족하다고 합니다. 그러면 바로 옆에 있는 상인에게서 '스켈리언?ㅠㅠ 씨앗' 을 사면 됩니다.

 

10. 그 다음 다시 '농부 윤'이 있는 농장으로 가서 그 씨앗을 심습니다.

 

11. 또다시 땅을 경작하고, '스켈리언 씨앗'을 심습니다. 그러나 어떤 타우렌보다 큰 새가 날라와서 방해를 하는군요. 그 새가 '스켈리언'을 좋아 한다네요. 스킬 몇방으로 깔끔하게 해치워 줍니다. 그리고 약 24시간 후면 식물이 다 자라있을 거라네요.

 

12. 이제부터 조금 힘든 작업이네요. 그러나 이제부턴 일일퀘스트를 할 수 있어 보입니다. 어떤 식물을 옆에 있는 산에서 훔쳐와야 되는데요, 거기는 몹들도 많고 경쟁자도 많네요.

 

13. 아무튼 이러한 일일퀘스트를 통하여 평판을 올리면 됩니다.

 

14. 그리고 '술취한 조루' 라는 NPC가 있는데요, 이 NPC에게 물어보면 다음 경작하면 좋은 작물들을 알려줍니다. 특히 가장 효율이 높고 이득이 많은 작물을 추천해 준다네요.

 

15. 그리고는 다시 '농부 윤'이 있는 농장으로 가서 멜론을 심습니다. 이러한 작물을 심으면 종종 땅 밑에서 두더지 튀어나와 방해하거나 훔쳐갈려 하는데요, 이때 또한 마찬가지로 스킬 몇방으로 시원하게 지옥으로 보내주시면 됩니다.

 

16. 계속 이러한 방식으로 먼저 밭을 갈고, 씨앗을 심고, 잘 자라게 기다리면 됩니다.

 

(평판을 올려 좋은 보상을 받을 수 있으며, 농사를 통해 삶의 보람을 느끼는? 의미있는 일일퀘스트 같아 보이는군요)
